With the release of Target Tracker, Amper customers can get insight into their hot jobs and never worry about missing a deadline again.
Let's set the scene.
Let’s say you need to get 1,200 parts out the door by April 14th. You run one 8-hour shift a day at your shop. If today is April 11th, you only have 24 total production hours before April 14th. Your target cycle for the job is one minute, so theoretically, you should be able to get this order out the door by your deadline (60 parts per hour x 24 hours = 1,440 parts, which means you have more than enough time to meet this deadline, especially since your utilization will be less than 100%.
Enter an unforeseen problem. Your machine goes down during the shift on April 12th because of a mechanical issue. So now you’re asking yourself if you can get 1,200 parts out the door by April 14th.
Well, with Target Tracker, Amper’s newest feature, you can answer this question in seconds. It’s a game-changer for anyone who wants to stay on top of their production goals and meet OTD.
Introducing Target Tracker
Target Tracker is one of many new tools Amper is releasing to help customers get answers—not just data.
The new feature was built to inject confidence into your production progress. With Target Tracker, you can get a reality check on whether you'll finish a job on time or get the promised number of parts out the door—with the actual hours remaining in a job and the projected date of completion.

Why use Target Tracker?
Embrace reality and set realistic goals
With instant feedback on uptime, cycle time, and parts made, you'll be able to fine-tune your goals and expectations to ensure that you're always on track for success. No more guessing whether your inputs will match your desired outputs. Target Tracker will let you know right away if your goals are unrealistic or need adjusting.
Help operators stay on track
With Target Tracker, operators can keep tabs on their production goals throughout their shift.
While using Operator Mode, operators can easily see how they're doing in real time and whether they're on track to hit their targets.
This not only helps them stay on track and accountable, but it also enables them to spot any issues or needs to adjust their behavior, ultimately leading to increased productivity.
Operators can also create goals of their own when they start a shift. By providing clear goal tracking on Operator Mode, Target Tracker empowers operators to take ownership of their work and strive for continuous improvement.
Eliminate double data entry
With Target Tracker, you can automatically populate your digital Amper tally sheets with important information such as part number, target cycle times, and the target number of good parts needed. Once you assign a goal to a machine or tally sheet, Target Tracker takes care of the rest. This reduces the chances of manual entry errors and frees up valuable time for your team. Operators can now focus better on achieving their production goals without having to worry about tedious data entry tasks.
Plus: Integrating Amper with your ERP makes Target Tracker even better and eliminates additional double data entry. Book a demo to learn more about how Amper can integrate with your ERP.
Always know where your jobs stand
Scoreboards can give you a clear overview of all your jobs with indicators that show which ones are off-target and need your attention.
You'll be able to quickly identify which jobs need assistance and direct your attention where it's needed most—without wasting time asking around or sorting through endless data.
And with color-coded indicators that clearly show which jobs are on track and which ones need attention, you can focus on what really matters: keeping your team on track and hitting your production goals.
